Wei Chen’s academic personal websites

I am a final‑year PhD candidate in the Dyson School of Design Engineering at Imperial College London. My research sits at the intersection of:

  • Robot Manipulation
  • Perception for Grasping and Manipulation
  • Learning‑based Control

I develop data‑efficient methods that close the gap between laboratory algorithms and real‑world robot‑manipulation tasks.

I am fortunate to be supervised by Dr Petar Kormushev of the Robot Intelligence Lab and Dr Nicolas Rojas of the (Previously, REDS Lab). Alongside my doctoral work, I am a Research Intern at Huawei UK R&D (London), where I translate academic advances into industrial-scale solutions.

I am always keen to discuss collaborations, internships, or post‑doctoral opportunities. Feel free to reach out if our research interests align.
